Tutoring FAQs

What platform do you use?

I usually conduct virtual tutoring using Google Meet, which I have found to be accessible and reliable. I also use Zoom. Most written work is done and shared through Google Drive.

Can we meet in person?

Will you teach a “pod”?

I am happy to work with groups of up to 6 students. I can assist with and supplement work from school curricula.

Do I have to buy materials?

For general writing and reading tutoring, we can use materials available online and those I have already. Depending on your needs, it may be best to purchase a book or workbook. For SAT tutoring, I will ask you to purchase the Official SAT Study Guide from the College Board.

What ages do you tutor?

I focus primarily on high school and college students and professionals, but please contact me if you think we would be a good fit for your middle school student.

How do we pay you?

I use an invoicing program called Freshbooks. I usually invoice clients electronically every 2 weeks. You can use Paypal or a credit card to pay online. If you prefer to pay by cash or personal check, I accept those as well.
